Spring is almost here!

Welcome to our freshly-updated web site offering a wide assortment of scarce comic books and related material. In order to stay competitive in a post-eBay/CGC world, I try to specialize these days in the scarce and obscure while also fielding a decent representation of traditional super hero staples.

DISCOUNTS: Most all comics material from the 1960s up is eligible for a 20% to upwards of a 50% off discount on the stack depending on what you have picked out. Discounts on earlier stuff as the spirit moves me. I wish to turn over most of what you see on this web site and am always interested in making happy-camper customers into long-term friends.

WANT LISTS: Don't see exactly what you are looking for on our web site? Then send us your want list to wantlist@blbcomics.com and we will keep our eyes peeled for the treasures you seek. Having been in this hobby for over 40 years, I know where a lot of out-of-print stuff lives.

E-Bay ID: BLB-COMICS Thank you for visiting our web site. Please also check us out on E-Bay, where you can find over 1200 detailed listings and images of great deals on all sorts of comics and memorabilia- New listings daily. There is a wealth of varied genre old comic books pictured (large scans upon request) dating from 1980 or so back over a century into the 1800s.

We also add many key words per listing detailing the contents of each book. Until our newly revamped web site is unveiled soon, we think we have some very visually attractive high to mid-grade offerings of classic American Popular Culture in our ebay store

It has been a long strange journey for me in the comics business since I set up at my first comicon in Houston, Texas in June 1967 as a 14 year old teenager, full of enthusiaism for all things comics following a 28 hour Greyhound bus ride from here in Fremont. I co-opened my first comic book store way back in August 1972 in Berkeley with Bud Plant and John Barrett. Within a year, we had a chain operation in 3 more Bay Area locations. Since then, the business has metamorphed wildly over the decades. I operated comics-oriented stores for some 22 years in the Bay Area before deciding to spend more time concentrating on comics history research for an upcoming comprehensive comics business history book I hope to finish up soon.

Your thoughts, offers and steady orders over the years have been deeply appreciated. Much of the funds I raise go into funding my research.
